Curriculum Enablement Agent
Purpose: The Curriculum Enablement Agent helps academic staff seamlessly integrate AI and modern content into their courses with minimal extra effort. It is designed to infuse AI capabilities into the curriculum development process, ensuring courses remain cutting-edge and aligned with desired competencies.

Core Capabilities
AI-Enriched Lesson Planning
Generates AI-infused lesson plans and teaching materials based on the existing syllabus or lecture outline. For each topic, it can suggest interactive lab exercises, AI demos, or project prompts that incorporate artificial intelligence tools or data relevant to that subject area.

Outcomes & Assessment Design
Maps course outcomes to institutional or industry competency frameworks to ensure alignment. It suggests appropriate assessment methods and rubrics for each outcome – including ideas for practical assignments or projects that are resistant to plagiarism (for example, unique case studies, oral presentations, or viva questions generated anew).
Resource Curation
Creates reading lists and resource compilations for each module. It pulls from a mix of open educational resources, research papers, and the institution’s library subscriptions to recommend up-to-date articles, videos, or tutorials. Faculty can review and cherry-pick the resources to share with students.

Plagiarism-Resistant Tasks
When helping design assignments, the agent proposes project briefs or caselets that require original thinking (reducing the chance students can copy from the internet). It also suggests using AI tools (where appropriate) in assignments to enhance learning, along with guidance on ethical AI use.

Integrations & Data
Connects with the syllabus repository or curriculum management system to retrieve course objectives and outlines. Leverages the institution’s competency frameworks and outcome databases to map skills. Also integrates with library databases and online resources for up-to-date content. All suggested materials include proper citations and respect licensing agreements.

Guardrails
All content generated (lesson plans, questions, etc.) is review-only – the faculty must approve and edit as needed before sharing with students. The agent checks for biases or inappropriate content in its suggestions and flags anything sensitive. It ensures that any AI tools or external content suggested are vetted (e.g., no copyrighted content without license). Citation and licensing information are provided for each resource to maintain academic integrity.

Pilot KPIs
Success is measured by adoption of AI elements in the curriculum – for pilot courses, the target is to have AI-enabled lessons in 100% of sessions. Faculty prep time is expected to decrease by 30–40% for those who use the agent’s suggestions. Qualitatively, faculty feedback should indicate that the agent’s ideas are enhancing course quality and student engagement (without adding undue workload).
